I am planning to have a visit in kopan monastery for a day, i am a local and interested in Buddhism. Can i go to this monastery in any days, without interruption or is there any process to be done before having visit? How long does it take to reach by foot from boudhanath?

Nope. Call or confirm them before going. They don’t allow non students to enter (I was told the same). Ma pani ghumna gako but didn’t get entry. So confirm first before going.
