BNHC Reports Positive Financial Results in Third Quarter of Current Fiscal Year

Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower Company (BNHC) has released its third-quarter report for the ongoing fiscal year, showcasing a modest increase in sales income and the attainment of net profit during the period.

According to the report, BNHC recorded a marginal rise in sales income, with earnings totaling Rs 127.9 million. This represents a slight increase of 1.93 percent compared to the sales of Rs 125.5 million reported during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Despite the minimal growth in sales, BNHC managed to achieve a commendable net profit of Rs 1.02 million during the review period. Additionally, the company generated other income amounting to Rs 3.2 million, further bolstering its financial performance.

Accompanying its net profit, BNHC reported earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 0.34 and net worth per share of Rs 91.27, underscoring its profitability and shareholder value creation.

However, it is noteworthy that BNHC also registered a reserve loss of Rs 48.2 million, highlighting areas for improvement in its financial management and operational efficiency.

With a paid-up capital of Rs 400 million, BNHC continues to navigate the challenges of the hydropower sector while striving to capitalize on growth opportunities and enhance shareholder returns.

Despite the reserve loss, BNHC’s ability to achieve net profit demonstrates its resilience and strategic management in a competitive market environment. Moving forward, the company remains committed to sustainable growth and value creation for its stakeholders.
