As a foreigner, can I own properties in Nepal? I was born and raised in Nepal and am US citizen. I would like to buy some land and build a house too.

No you cannot buy a property as a foreign citizen in Nepal.. however if you were raised in Nepal and have parents who are Nepali citizens then I think you can get NRN citizenship card which will allow you to buy land in Nepal.

I am not sure but I think they passed something where you can buy properties and all and enjoy all rights like a Nepali citizen except take part in politics.
Yes, you can. There are lots of foreigners who buy business and investment properties in Nepal. Find an attorney who helps with FDI or you can get NRN card. Don’t NRN card in Nepal, their rules and process will give you a mental breakdown.
