From a resident itself , the one thing noone is talking about is , participate vako Hindus were the indian nepalis but non of the pahadi Hindu people , we give no shit about who says what in social media because again it’s freaking social media a place to talk crap . And I saw a post about it being a planned , no it wasn’t it was just something they wanted to posses on and with another question noone thought why was the ways closed today ? Because there were freaking people coming from India yesterday. The residents were terrified, when the strike started yesterday we faced earthquake and we were terrified to even go outside because the people were running with tyres and what not . Why is our country facing so much of religious violence ? Few years ago we faced tharu community and pahadi community and now this comes up … can it be India’s possession over us ?

Nepalgunj ma esto kura naya haina. I remember couple of decades ago. I was just a kid and landed in nepalgunj from ktm just to learn there was a curfew for the same reason . And you are right it’s all about indians.
The same thing is happening in this subreddit too. Every 2nd post u see is about religion and mostly with hatred against islam, while most of us were never interested in religion.
