Unofficial business w/nepali

Hello all looking for some insight. I’m a Foreigner been here a while and recently stumbled upon a business venture though it’d be “unofficial” for reasons and circumstances with a Newari person. He seems like a good dude known him for a bit but you never know, are Nepali people generally trustworthy/honest about when doing business with no contract? Feel free to ask me questions and I’ll clarify with as much info as I can. Any advice/info would be much appreciated Thanks.
