India's Yotta Data Services and Nepal's BLC Holdings Collaborate to Pioneer Nepal's First Tier III Data Center, K1, Near Kathmandu

They have officially sealed a deal to construct a cutting-edge data center facility in Ramkot, situated close to Kathmandu, during the Nepal Investment Summit (NIS) 2024.

The proposed data center, christened “K1,” is set to revolutionize Nepal’s IT landscape as it will be the country’s premier supercloud data center. K1 aims to offer a comprehensive suite of services, including Cloud computing, managed IT solutions, and Cybersecurity services, catering to the diverse needs of enterprises, hyperscale customers, and government organizations.

This state-of-the-art facility, built to Tier III standards, prioritizes reliability, scalability, and security. Featuring a modular design, K1 promises industry-leading uptime, flexibility, and scalability for its clients. Moreover, it adheres to stringent environmental and energy efficiency standards mandated by ISO 14000 and ISO 50000.

In terms of power infrastructure, the data center boasts robust systems supported by dual high-voltage substations. It also provides carrier-neutral services with multiple fiber entry paths, ensuring resilient connectivity options for its clientele. Additionally, K1 prioritizes information security and data privacy, aligning with ISO 27000, PCI-DSS, and SOC2/3 standards.
