i’ve always said to my parents that “ ma ta bidesh jane ho” and it was always so easy to say now that I’m a bit older everyone says “+2 paxi bidesh ta hola ni” and i smile saying khai cause i have no idea. and today now that i think about it moving out into a foreign country on your own at 18 is scary especially when you have no one( yup no relatives) and the fact that it will cost so much to just live. tuition, rent , utilities , healthcare everything is so expensive and i have been living so well this is heaven not having to worry about a single thing. growing up is so scary

Jau bidesh. I don’t know about other countries, but US jau. I went there when I was 18 as well (actually the day I arrived there I became 18). It teaches you a lot of stuff: being independent , being self-sufficient, how to handle pressure, how to make people in new places, and every added bonus). I had no relatives and no one I knew either. I applied myself, so I didn’t have friends from consultancy type of situation either. So, when I went to the US, I was all on my own. Overall, it builds character and most importantly, it will teach you that the one and only person you can rely on is yourself. So, you just live life without expecting anything from anyone.

Go bro and expand your horizon. There comes a time for every man where he must decide if he’s gona leave the birds nest and explore for himself or stay under the tutelage of what he knows and is comfortable with.
Take those steps. Become a new man. No matter where you go, it’ll teach you how to be independent and deal with loneliness. It will also shape and form your OWN identity. Figure out who you are aside from surrounding influences. Learn, explore and come to your own conclusions. The world is what you make out of it
