Instagram's giving me anxiety!!

How do I quit it, I’ve tried deleting my account multiple times but everytime I come back. And its not like I have a huge engagement there, I don’t!! All I have is two friends whom I used to send reels and memes everyday, but now I don’t. I get anxious every time I open the stupid app. Please help me quit it, please

  1. I used to say this like a year ago and people would laugh at me but its been like 7 months since I’ve deactivated the account. I downloaded Duolingo and started learning another language as its substitute

  2. Keep yourself busy in something. We usually open social media when we are free. So commit yourself in anything either study or do some workout or other things that you like. It is definitely a difficult process so you have to be patient and focused. It’s almost been a year since I left all social media.

  4. I deactivated it , for a while now , I don’t have the commitment to quit .
    Knowing I can get back whenever I want to , helps me keep it deactivated and stay away from it. I hopefully will get used to it after a while nd even activating it , it won’t affect my life much.

  6. You can’t just quit. You have to replace the old habit of browsing Instagram with the new one. If you are using instagram too much and not able to quit it, delete it and try to learn something that you enjoy doing. I used to use reddit, facebook, and You Tube very frequently. But now I have uninstalled all those apps from my phone, and I am utilizing that free time to learn something that I enjoy doing. Now I don’t spend that much time on these apps as I used to do earlier.

    You can’t just quit and sit idle; if you do so, you are bound to fall back to the old routines. Free time–> social media, got bored—-> social media. If you wanna learn how habits work and how to cultivate good habits, read Atomic Habits by James Clear. This book literally changed my life.

  7. minimize your active time gradually. Use for limited hours.Just quiting is not a solution. I would recommend App Lock. It helps to keep lock the app for a fixed time. Once you active strict mode you won’t be able to open the app even if you uninstall the app. It force to divert your attention on other stuffs then.

  8. First make sure you understand why you want to do this. Have clear objectives and stay focused on it.
    It takes persistence, will, determination.
    Just by deactivating and deleting won’t solve your problem you’ll need to fill the void in time that instagram leaves.
    Deactivate your account again also delete the app, but get something productive to do as a substitute, try getting better physique.
    “Healthy mind exists in a healthy body”.
    “Gym jau” may seem as a joke but it’s really great advice once you start to get focused.
    Then slowly start to learn a new skill. Any skill that compliments your works or otherwise.

  9. Exactly.. I feel like insta is of no use especially if we aren’t influencer or anything thing. Of course there’s pros and cons of any decision.. but not engaging in insta has more pros (in fact everyone knows that)

    So to be honest I’ve deleted insta app for a month and it’s a game changing. I don’t feel like missing insta at all..I use insta in google chrome very few often and as it’s so not pleasant using insta in chrome you ended up using less.

    So I think you can try this technique too..you’ll have to start following this technique and thank me later 👍😊

  10. I had same problem.

    Typed random shit like “jsianendksowmmsdn ” , copied it , changed password to it , deleted account . Everytime i wanted to go into it again , reseting password is a hassle , it has reminded me not to.

  11. Turn off notification, ani try not to use as much as you can, aba sakdai sakena vane chai ali ali herne, don’t make it long, try gardai jne, ekai choti delete garda jhan garo huncha.
