HIDCL Reports Modest Growth in Q3 Net Profit

Hydro Electricity Investment and Development Company Shows Steady Financial Performance Amidst Market Conditions

The Hydro Electricity Investment and Development Company (HIDCL) has unveiled its third-quarter report for the current fiscal year, showcasing a steady but modest growth trajectory in its net profit.

According to the financial disclosures made by the company, HIDCL achieved a net profit of Rs 1.09 billion during the review period. This figure represents a 7.92 percent increase compared to the net profit of Rs 1.01 billion reported during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

The growth in income can be attributed to various factors contributing to the company’s operational performance. HIDCL witnessed a notable increase in income earned through agreements, marking a substantial surge of 62.68 percent. Additionally, its financial income experienced a marginal uptick of 0.93 percent. However, the company observed a slight decrease of 19.37 percent in dividend income, while other sources of income rose to Rs 18.6 million.

Accompanying the growth in net profit, the company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) rose to Rs 6.38, reflecting a positive trend in its financial performance. HIDCL also reported a net worth per share of Rs 112.29 and a Price/Earnings (P/E) ratio of 26.22 times, indicating investor confidence in the company’s future prospects.

With a paid-up capital of Rs 22.77 billion and a reserve fund of Rs 2.79 billion, HIDCL demonstrates a robust financial position, poised to navigate market challenges and capitalize on opportunities for growth in the dynamic energy sector.
