On Wednesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a slight downturn, with a decrease of 0.21 points, settling at 1960.60 points.
During today’s trading session, a total of 58,74,967 shares were transacted, valued at Rs. 2,054 crores, 70 lakh, and 30 thousand, with trading occurring 41,137 times.
A total of 305 companies participated in the trading session, with 124 companies witnessing an increase in share prices, while 107 companies saw a decline. Additionally, 12 companies maintained stability in their share prices.
The sensitive index saw a marginal decrease of 0.17 points, while both the float index and sensitive float index experienced slight increments of 0.09 points each.
Among the 13 subgroups, 4 observed an increase, while 8 encountered a decrease, particularly notable in the finance, hydro, microfinance, and trading sectors.
Infinity Microfinance’s shares demonstrated a noteworthy 10% increase, entering into a positive circuit, while Doti Hydropower marked a surge of 9.79 points.
Despite the slight fluctuations, the Nepal Stock Exchange remains active, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market and investor sentiment. As trading volumes remain high, market participants continue to closely monitor developments and seek opportunities for investment in various sectors.
