Bhagwati Chaudhary, the Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens, conducted an inspection of the Bhrikutimandap market, directing authorities to elevate its organization and management standards. Operating under the auspices of the Social Welfare Council, the market received attention from the minister, who expressed concerns over its vulnerability.
Minister Chaudhary stressed the imperative need for concerted efforts to ensure the systematic operation of the market and to mitigate potential risks. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to the market’s welfare, she disclosed an allocation of Rs 40 million in the current fiscal year for its management.
Additionally, Minister Chaudhary disclosed that the process has commenced to construct semi-permanent structures within the market premises. Addressing the dilapidated state of the exhibition hall at Bhrikutimandap, she highlighted the urgent need for its reconstruction and upgrade.
In response to these concerns, Manoj Bhatta, Council member-secretary, pledged to prioritize the proper management and revitalization of the market area.
