Liu Xueliang, the esteemed General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division, recently concluded a significant visit to Nepal from May 4th to May 6th, 2024, underlining BYD’s commitment to Nepal’s automotive industry.
Accompanied by a distinguished delegation including Gillian Li, Passenger Vehicle Office Director, Javy Wang, Product Manager, Kaisy Ke, Legal Manager, and Ketsu Zhang, Deputy General Manager, the visit aimed at fortifying BYD’s presence and fostering collaborative growth in Nepal’s automotive landscape.
The visit began with a tour of the BYD Showroom in Naxal, Kathmandu, and Pulchowk, Lalitpur on May 5th, 2024. Liu personally delivered 14 vehicles, including the advanced BYD ATTO 3 and BYD Dolphin models, emphasizing BYD’s commitment to providing innovative mobility solutions tailored to Nepalese customers’ needs.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the BYD Service Center in Guheshwori, Kathmandu, reaffirming BYD’s dedication to ensuring exceptional after-sales service and support infrastructure in Nepal.
A highlight was the “BYD APAC Nepal Strategy Summit: Accelerating Growth Together,” organized by Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., BYD’s authorized distributor in Nepal. Held on May 5th, 2024, in Kathmandu, the summit served as a collaborative platform to reflect on BYD’s journey in Nepal. Liu Xueliang commended Nepal’s achievement of over 60% EV penetration in 2022 and 2023, highlighting the nation’s progressive stance towards sustainable mobility.
In recognition of BYD’s achievements, Cimex Inc. hosted the “BYD Gala Night” at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, celebrating milestones and honoring individuals pivotal to BYD’s success in Nepal.
The visit concluded with a high-level meeting between Liu Xueliang, key BYD executives, and prominent figures including Anil Shrestha, Chairman of Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., and the Rt. Honorable Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda).
Liu Xueliang’s visit reaffirmed BYD’s commitment to advancing sustainable mobility solutions in Nepal and fostering partnerships for mutual growth and prosperity.
