Worst customer service
No one can beat Himalayan bank. Now they have merged with Civil bank – another milestone to be the worst bank in Nepal.
Their app is so primitive you will be amazed.
Everytime, they give the feeling that they would be happy if we didn’t go to their branch.
All banks are worst. They are not service providers they are torturers.
Everything fine but atm at NIC ASIA is shit. 7days a week, 4 weeks a months and 12 months a year, kaile khuldaina.
For customer service, it depends on the branch and staff so it can vary. The worst experience was in previous bank of Kathmandu jawlakhel where one staff was shouting at customers. A young guy reprimanded her saying you can say the same thing without shouting and this is not how you treat your customers then she shut up.
For loans, global ime because they don’t inform beforehand if they are going to take all the money from your account to reduce the loans also the interest rates are higher than other banks. Also they took almost a month just to renew the loan at which time period the account was not accessible to take out money while they took all the money deposited to reduce loan. If it was in another country i would sue the bank for not notifying beforehand for any of these and these practices but it is Nepal.

I would say bank of Bagmati and Bishnumati for sure are the worst.

Banks are highly regulated bodies by NRB and they cannot flex their cool muscles even if they wanted to because snobs at NRB are going to dictate them what to do or not do. This governance (or lack thereof) of NRB disallows banks to provide what customer wants. Apparently their social media ads too these day need to run through NRB.
Having that out of the way, it really depends on the nurturing the bank has done to consider customers above any thing.
Sunrise bank had terrible staff and Laxmi had the best. Now they’re merged and I wonder if the have canceled each other.
Global IME employees are rude and have no respect for you.
Nabil employees are always short staffed. The crowds are nauseating and they do nothing to manage that.
NIBL and SCB don’t care unless you have several arbas lying around in your bank account. Lakh ma bahe they will treat you like dogs. Crore or arba bahe they will serve you chiya and cookies AC cabin ma lagera.
So it all depends which bank you’re banking with.
Personally I hated the treatment SCB gave me. They treated me badly at first but their tone and voice changed when they saw the figure on my cheque.
I will never ever go back with Global IME. Worst bank in every regard: their branch office smells of socks.
I currently bank with Laxmi and Sanima. I have no complains. So all in all Laxmi has to be the best bank in terms of customer service.

Card online payment wise wise NIBL (NIMB), mobile app wise (HBL) prior was NIBL. News and review wise NIC Asia.
Seeing the post, to each their own. I have had many good and bad experiences in several banks .

Banking system in general is worst in Nepal.
NIC Asia, their mobile app always have problem.
Nabil Bank. My money which was sent from abroad was stuck for 4 months. When I did inquiry to Nabil Bank they had no idea where is that money. I went to branch, headquarter, endless email n call, still no help. After doing a little bit my own research on swift code and transaction letter I found 4 banks involve including Nabil Bank & I sent email to all banks who were involve in transaction including Nabil Banks’ intermediary, and after i sent email immediately that intermediary bank replied and said my money is with them and in half an hr finally that intermediary bank release my fund. Nabil bank was zero helpful and they were clueless & dumb.
There online banking is worst too. Very old style of documents handling.

Anyone used Standard Chartered Bank app? Worst business app ever seen in my life.
My first and only bank account, Siddhartha Bank. Never had an issue with mobile banking nor customer service.
All bad. Nothing comes close to HDFC in India.
