Travel to the Wild (Bargain Bro)

I was too busy and couldn’t update yesterday, plus I had nothing written before to just copy paste. But here’s another update today.

Today I went with my bunk mate (a guy i am sharing the hostel with) to get a phone for him. Dude dropped his old phone and crashed it crazy. He had already went around and asked for prices so I thought it was go pay, take and leave, but boy was I wrong.

We got out of the travel hostel and towards market. Got money out of ATM to buy phone and towards the store. When we reached the store, he asked for the phone he saw yesterday.

Now here’s where the bro turned to what i now call “Bargain bro”. The phone was used Redmi Y2. Shopkeeper was asking for INR 4000. The bro said 3,000. At the time i thought he wanted to meet in the middle and get it for 3500. But absolutely fking not.

The shopkeeper did hesitate a bit, but eventually came to 3500 after less than one minute of bargaining. The dude then began the act. He’s like “Bhai mere paas hai hi 3000, wo bhi bhaiyo se mang ke leke aaya, puchlo bai se… he ke nahi.” Shopkeeper got surprised, but maybe not as much as me, who initially thought the bro would get it for 3500.

The shopkeeper then said that he got it for 3200 himself, he can’t take loss. The bargain bro didn’t give up. He says, “Dada garib ke liye 200 ka ghata sahan karlo, me badhi musibat mai hu, madat kardo bhai please.” Yup he literally asked the shopkeeper to take loss for him.

After what seemed like an hour of back and forth, and was actually an hour of back and forth. The shopkeeper finally caved in and gave it for 3000.

He didn’t even get charger from there. We got into an auto and went to a different place. There he asked for a used charger, which he got (brick plus cable) for 200.

That bargain bro got a used Redmi Y2, a super speed charger that comes with the phone, and usb cable for 3240 (40 for auto) and I don’t know what to think of it.
