Hey guys i literally wanna know about this from u all, Coz i am an Indian and Share a very close bond to this nepali girl i met recently online. She literally hates india to the point that she has even said that she will prefer to go to china if she gets a citizenship but not india. So is it that bad?
Is it any surprise?
Monarchy had proven to be an obstacle for India specially for the UPA government (Indian congress and their centre left alliance) which was ruling India at the time.
Ideologically, they opposed the idea of monarchs and Hindu rastra or Hindu anything.
Politically, monarchy as the head of state can’t be puppeted. They can’t be bought and sold like the PM or president or any other politicians.
The then kings had irked India in the wrong way occasionally like extending hands with China. And they couldn’t do anything about it because they can’t just twist the arms of a king like they can do with the politicians.
It’s no surprise that they dragged their feet to capture Maoist leaders hiding in India, and pulled off an elaborate plan to kick out the king.
The Indian congress government at the time was confused how to deal with the situation. They didn’t like Monarchy and wanted them out of Nepal, they low key supported Maoists but they couldn’t just not support the King given the background of the world politics at the time.
Gyanendra thought that once the Maoists are completely curbed, he will convince the international community but he didn’t know the whole thing was an elaborate plan to oust him.
No wonder Nepalis hate India. The hate for Indians just comes with the hate for the country. India wants to control Nepal and make it its puppet. Ig their efforts are working because the political leaders are trying make Nepal like India.
This lends more credence to the conspiracy that King Birendra and his family were killed by foreign agents (with obvious use of prosthetics to mimic Dipendra’s looks). Bigger countries wanting to control Nepal did not like how popular Birendra was, so they removed him, knowing that the next king would be less popular due to people’s suspicion of fratricide. It was easier for them to remove the king once the one occupying the throne was not as popular
It’s always been the same. Now, they are fueling promonarchy and prohindurashtra movement because we have been long time without a major ruckus.
Nepal Army was counting bullets as nothing was coming through .
