He is using hyperbole. He is just trying to draw attention to the plight of doctors.
Violence is inevitable when there is no accountability. Having said that no one should be subjected to violence or abuse in their line of duty. But there should be a law and doctor should be punished in case of medical negligence.
Probably fed up with shit security and patients’ unhinged relatives and shits they have to go after unsuccesful treatments. Cure patient: nothing. Failure: threats, criticism, destruction even.
I dont really think he is demanding to have a gun but merely to emphasize the circumstances that they go through. I think they must have been trying to bring this issue before and we didnt pay attention to it because why would we. We only give a shit when there’s extremity; their breaking point.
To be clear, I’m not kissing their boots. There are always both good and bad peoples in every line of works. There are victims who are patients and but doctors too. To understand who is right or wrong, we should take things in their perspective.

What if there is was such an situation where the patient was at the right and the doctor was at the wrong in an arguement? Even the doctor could use the damn gun if he feels offended easily and the doctor can prolly prove himself to the court ‘not guilty’ as an act of defense, this riot is clearly not put into thought properly. Journalists, businessmen and any rich people that can prove their lives are at risk due to the nature of the work can receive a license so I kind of understand where this guy’s coming from.
