What are you speculations of Mangsir 7?

When Durga Prasai guy announced his mangsir 7 program, i thought it was just meme and will fizzle out. as of now it seems everyone know about this. now, mahesh basnet is in the equation and seems like there will be full scale gang war once these two come face to face.
Government and police are also in high alert and even issued “nisdhagya”. some are even saying tiktok ban was because of this.

will this really change things or will fizzle out? because of the economic crisis and corruption scandal, people are pissed. if we look at history, revolutions, public unrest usually happens when economy is in gutter.

Durga prasai reinvented from being mafia to revolutionary liberator of the people.

  1. My pessimistic view. Lootna napayeka le hami ni lootna pauna parcha vanera janta lai uksaune kaam matra ho jasto lagcha hai malai ta. Last major andolan ma ni janta lai yestai “Hope”/Asss thiyo, nothing changed. Maobadi lai elect garda ni yestai “ass” thiyo. Nothing changed. Lootne manche matra change

  2. Imo TikTok ban has made this situation worse. It is a direct violation on our democracy. On top of that, district administration office has also banned rallies in maitighar. I never knew about Durga prasai or Mahesh basnet before TikTok ban but now I hear about them every where because of it. The whole thing is very chaotic and rushed. A bit conspiratorial tbh.

  3. I think something big will happen. Apart from few exceptions, every Nepali is frustrated and tired of these leaders and the situation they have pushed us into. From students to businessmen and job holders, everyone is trying to leave this country because they don’t see any hope left in this country anymore.

Politicians and party goons are looting the country freely, doing whatever they are like without any repercussion, while an honest hard working Nepali is being forced to sell off their property or try abroad to make the ends meet.

Mainstream media are basically party bootlickers, but voices of dissent and disagreement, pro monarchist movements are hugely popular on social media. TikTok was the worst offender from the Nepal government perspective because it had a wider reach, hence it faced the ban.

  4. Reposting the same comment I did yesterday.

I will get some trolls in my inbox after this but here is my honest opinion. I would love to have zero f*cks to give about it as long as it doesnt actively affect me. I used to be very passionate about causes and have been the activist type but now that life has moved on, I find my time is way too packed. I’m economically middle class, work a 10 to 6 job 6 days a week. Rest of the time I am searching for ways to leave this country due to the hopelessness I see in every aspect of our system. And I may be wrong, but majority of the urban youths like me will honestly not care about this protest too.

About Prasain, I think it is the same old dance with a new song. Protests come and go. A new person comes up with new agendas in the beginning. Sells hope. People fall for it. Gathers supporters, out of which a few will be extremists and will idolize them forever. But at the end of the day, the government will buy them out by reaching agreements. Rinse and repeat.

I am just dreading my commute to and from work.

  5. To talk about it. Durga prasai holds more knowledge than he leads on. The news about combodia resurfaced after a year since it was published there due to prasai. The second he talked about Hindu rastra and raja vadi, government took the decision to ban tiktok. Tiktok is faster than any news portal. The hold tiktok has on every individual is crazy. Facebook/insta could never. So yeah tiktok ban seems intensional. For so called intellectuals supporting this ban have no idea what is actually the cause. They think politicians are concerned about “sabhyata” lmao. His rally is going to be huge and would have been huger if tiktok was there. He might have whitewashed his image from gunda to businessman to now a neta but the power he holds is crazy. They all fear this man. This man isn’t afraid.

  6. Durga prasai is an opportunist. Pretty sure its all about his huge ass loan and medical college for him. But overall the frustration is such that everyone wants things to change. So it is easy to rally people up in the name of change. The difficult part in agreeing on what exactly needs to change.

All in all, i dont see any point in restoring monarchy if its just going to be some constitutional shit. Whats the point of the king if prachanda and deuba will still be the ones calling the shot. If however we are going all in for some hardcore change where in all previous ministers and prime ministers will be investigated for corruption and shit i’m all in on doing that. Like a purge. Purge the corrupt people from all political parties, beurocracy and all government services.

  7. Our whole government/ constitution was built on lies from fake Maoist movement leading to 12 point Delhi agreement ( where our constitution was made ) where Hindu nation was abolished. ( not to say IM pro or against this . I am an atheist and I think all religions cause differences and these differences lead to chaos ) but still 80% majority Hindus with support of Muslims ( unheard in any nation) lived happily. Never was any religion or culture suppressed like some MNO folks claim when the same land preserved whole books and religion to its entirety .

Such a demise of harmony led by controlled medias in power who only rose more after the demise of the monarchy ( who somehow prevented this country from foreign powers by balancing them ) led by indo-west and infiltrations in all levels of bureaucracy . The same monarchs who defied and denied the proposal of handover of whole Nepal to India were demonized consistently by the same media . Our people were too corrupted with western media ( i was too ) .

TikTok really opened eyes of many people ( especially village people) where there was no education. People in Rolpa / Rukum were brainwashed by Prachanda-Baburam to form Maowadi three decades ago . This truth bomb dropped now even from RAW agents themselves/ ex Generals of India and people could see that those “conspiracies” were actually truths lurking to come out . Tiktok is a tool that exposes slaves of indo-west like Nepal-Congress/ NCP / RSP / RPP .

Prasai could be a tool / could be a man with the intent of revenge / could even be a smart ass who wants to gobble the amt he took loan from ( which Prachanda agreed to pay himself for Prasai if he stopped a day ago ).

I even think it objectively. If Prasain could threaten the Republic and if was a bad guy , the media would have destroyed him. He must have something against them solid .

This ban is not surprising . Whoever controls the media controls the information, whoever controls the information controls the people. So there’s that .

I don’t trust anyone these days but yeah even if a person like Prasain can destroy these goons . Ill love to support him.

  8. Until the news of Prince Juma Al Moktum of Dubai gifting Durga Prasai golden cane came out, his name was not on my radar. Seems like he knows some dirty secrets of some current big shots of Nepal and they are indeed afraid of him. I wish I could tell what’s going to happen that day but I can sense something extraordinary will happen then.

  9. I think it is being over- sensationalized by everyone. I don’t think Durga can alter our लोकतन्त्र, or Mahesh is saving the day on Mangsir 7. The मन्त्रिपरिषद् is colition of older parties and they banned TikTok because they want to stop the rising popularity of alternatives.

  10. It’s really terrifying seeing people advocating for the monarchy even after the two decade long democracy. Nepal is now setting example of how the deeply unstable political institution can lead to the terrible chaos in the country.

  11. I am quite certain that this was the reason that the tiktok ban was implemented. Of course there are other reasons that they now mention, but this was the main reason to do so. Otherwise, why would a Maoist consider going against CCP?

  12. Right now, no one is capable of working as any part of the government. No one is qualified to work in an office. Maybe there are few out there and they might be abroad already and not planning to return.

  13. I might not agree with Durga Prasai on everything but I hope he does something. He is going to be the true voice of Nepali people and channel the frustration of nepali people into dismantling this fucked up system.

  14. lauda mera, we never need raj tantra, tyo businessman mho, raja ka beta raja banega is itself the biggest scam. hami ram rajya ma reside gardainau tyo kura yo murkh haru lai ke samjhau.

  15. Do we even care? We might, but does it make any difference? No. We’re just working 10-7 , 6 days a week, paying our taxes and still afraid and sure some tax officers will still find some fault and tax / fine us more .
We’re just in hope our dreams don’t get rubbled with high pressure of living under uncertain future. Just trying to breathe our country’s air filled with all kind of pollution because a very very high percentage of road tax we pay is not enough to maintain the standards of our roads. We’re just trying to reach our destinations just in time so that the traffic jam caused by excessive import of vehicles with high taxes for the government because our public vehicles are useless and are run by party workers who’d rather kill the pedestrians / other riders than lose an argument or lose a street race. We’re all just stuck in the middle of nowhere because we can’t leave to a better place because our passport is so weak that people try to leave in illegal ways too. We’re just hoping something happens that will try to stop at least some of the things mentioned above.
    Hopeless? Yes,
    but let’s see.
