Should I be worried or not ?

Should I be worried or not ?

I am currently studying .I am not so good or bad .I don’t know what should I be actually be doing? I should be learning some skills and learn to communicate to. But I don’t feel like doing so too. I know how important it is to know how to talk with people all these worries aside at times ,I feel like what I am doing right now is in right pace (even though it might not be ).Maybe I am enjoying and learning my own time but I do feel like talking to people but I don’t like small talks..I don’t know what my future holds I am little excited and little nervous what it would bring .

  1. TL;DR
“My time will come and then I will shine” or “Life is going in a right pace so I shouldn’t bother putting efforts” is kinda lame thing lol. You literally just have to do it. I will say this from my personal experience that you should be busy throughout the day. Whatever you want to do just be busy in your productivity. You want to learn some skills, right? Then do it. Anything can be fine, learn whatever you want to. Learn to cook, clean, swin, drive or learn about the things that will make you earn like UI/UX, coding, business tactics or just whatever you like. Yeah surely it will be difficult for few days but wjen you get a hang of it, you will be fine. I was a lazy ass thrlughtout my life and now I am busy doing something throughout the day and I feel like day goes by in a blink.

Regarding communication, well yep small talks are bothersome things. But you have to learn to communicate with people. It will enlarge your networking and your knowledge. You can come up with any topics according to that person’s age group and by judging them and assuming. Just ask them what they like to do and what are their hobbies. “Do you watch sports? Do you know what’s going on in Nepal?”(Not really a great example but still you did understood it, right?) Or if the other person talks about something they like then just ask questions “Who? What? Where? When? What does it..?” And make branches or you can change to a similar topic. You can also swap from their hobbies to yours. For eg: A:”Do you listen to Sakhira?” B: “Yes I had listened to her songs like Wakka wakka and whenever wherever” A: “Whenever wherever was trending in tiktok some months back” blah blah blah B: “Oh and do you know that there are rumours about Sakhira dating Lewis Hamilton? He is a Formula 1 driver and Sakhira was seen with hum multiple times” now my friend you have successfully changed topic and communicated with other person and you and them both gained some knowledge. I blabbered too much and I don’t even know if it was relavent to topic or not.

  2. I think it is helpful to have mentors to guide you through this and that you can reach out to when you have questions like these. They could also guide you on how to communicate and network better. These mentors could be your seniors, professors or professionals in your area of interest. I’d say you could get started by talking to some seniors, I know you said you don’t like small talk so maybe you can have a list of questions beforehand, for example “why did they choose the subject? What are their future goals? Do they have any career advice for you?“
Once you’re comfortable with this you could start reaching out to professionals on LinkedIn. This can help you figure out your future and career goals too.

  3. You will realize when times passes in a blink of an eye. you have got plenty of time to learn new things and develop any skills that may help you in the future. To be honest, I regret just wasting my time doing nothing and had a same thought like you did thinking that everything will be fine when the time comes. I was also an average student but at this point of my life, when i look back I just have regrets. Utilize the time in correct order and good work so that you don’t have to face too much problems in the future. I hope you choose what’s best for you. Good luck

  4. In my case, I neither know what my passion is nor can I learn anything, I tried learning different programming languages maybe 6 times and still couldn’t be good at it. I try and try and try but still can’t seem to be good at anything.

  5. If you are in Bachelor level and still have not figured out what your real interest are in, it might cause delay in your life regarding career/work. It might sound bit dramatic but this is the truth in this competitive world.

Communication is the key to the whole new world and I cannot emphasize this fact enough. If you are not good in communication (which is understandable) you have to have at least some kind of plan to gather your life and work on it. Being excited/nervous will not do anything if you are not working to advance your life.

So, definitely explore your interest and work on it. It maybe communication or career based interest but do this NOW while you are still in bachelor level.

P.S. Not saying bachelor is starting line of our life. But it is better than the phase when you would have passed your bachelor and then wonder if you should have worried about life earlier.

Best of luck for your future. 😊😊
