planning to travel to dubai for the first time! need tips

I am planning to travel to Dubai around Dec 1 – 16 before Christmas.
What’s the weather like there?
Things you should know before international trips?
Dubai ko laws haru that I should be careful of.
Should I go with a travel agent or is it possible to navigate by yourself?
What scams should I avoid there in Dubai?
What’s a good hotel to stay there?
Best places to travel? What currency should I carry?
How do I get phone number?

If you are experienced traveller, would love some tips that you wish you knew.
basically I have bunch of questions like this. appreciate some help.

*ps. I worked my ass off this year to able to afford this and proud of myself. My suggestion: if you want be able to able to afford trips like this and make good money in Nepal. work for foreign clients not nepali. that’s a hack i found that worked I guess.*

  1. Yo I grew up in Dubai. I see other users already answered the questions. December 1-3 is national holiday here. So Dubai mall & other malls will be crowded.Weather will be cool that time. In the evening it might get chilly! Try to use metro to travel so you can save money. Dnt go to Naif Deira and other shady places. You can drink in Bar, Club or in your hotel. If someone tries to sell you italian jacket or hair oil dnt go with them lol. Never give money to begger (male or female). Stay in 4 star hotels around Shk Zayed road. No need to use travel agent. People here are helpful if you ask direction.
DM me if you need more info or help during your visit.

  2. Don’t worry about Dubai.

As long as you have a proper VISA and just do touristy things, you will be fine.

    Worry about the Nepali Immigration…

Traveling on a Visit Visa to Gulf for the first time is banned and even going through travel agents you will have to take prior permission from the Immigration office.

  3. -The weather is hot/ warm. Perfect to visit Dubai.
    – keep your passport safe a must in international trips. And try food from other cultures you not familiar with.
-Be respectful of their culture. Study their public transport system ( watch youtube); ubering will be expensive.
    – i don’t think there is any strict law in dubai, just be respectful and no alcohol.
    – i guess you need travel agent to get Dubai’s visit visa. Or if you have anyone in Dubai working, they might can help.
    – Scams : don’t personally know much but there are few.
    – i went with groups of friend and we booked Airb&b; so no idea in that regard. But booking.com has good options.
    – i would suggest Global village, miracle park, gold souk and perfume souk. Obv dubai mall and burj khalifa. Dubai frame is not worth the price, and same with science museum thingy but science one was interesting but not worth price.
    – if you have Wise account, you can exchange currecy in app and use same card. But if its exchange then carry Dhirams (AED). I would suggest get USD and exchange in dubai.
    – you get free sim with 1 GB data at airport.

Plus: book your tickets to miracle garden, global village in advance it will be cheaper. Also take day safari package, book in advance, one of the best experience.
