I’m way too naive in understanding these financial related news. But recently I have been hearing this news where people are demanding for the second stock exchange in this nation.
So I wanna ask fellow redditors about their opinion on this news. Is this the need of nation or some people on higher post gaslighting people’s mind? Will this idea help in positive way to make the economic conditions of this nation into stable one?
If anyone has researched about it I’m interested to read it and hear your opinion.
Thanks 🙏

Multiple stock exchange hunu ramro ho undoubtedly. BUT Nepal ko context ma chai its little tricky. I mean
look at the current economic situation of Nepal. Every sector is struggling just to make survival out of it.Durga Prasai le vane jasto desh ma udhyog/kal karkhana kei chaina, most of the youth have left the country, productive sectors are crippled by this stupid recession, bazar ma poisai chaina. Now the question arises, yesto situation ma stock market ma ka ko poisa invest garne? Kasle invest garne? Invest gareko poisa safe cha chaina how to be certain?
Well, there is this body called SEBON which is supposed to monitor and take actions on NEPSE if things goes wrong but sebon is far from its responsibilities.
until sebon/nepse acknowledges and works on the permanent solution of these issues, introducing a 2nd stock exchange will only add risk to the investors money. It will only ease the high positioning middle man and make a good commission out of it.
