Hey fellow Nepali geeks. I’ve been pondering the absence of TikTok in Nepal due to the ban and can’t help but wonder why our young geeks haven’t jumped on the opportunity to create a homegrown alternative. It’s high time we channel our collective creativity and coding skills to fill this void. Imagine the impact of a Nepal-born app that not only provides a platform for content creators but also showcases the incredible talent our country has to offer. Let’s come together, brainstorm ideas, and make this happen. Let’s turn obstacles into opportunities and give Nepal its own social media sensation!
Ps: it’s sick to see that no one is up for TikTok’s alternative instead they’re having debates over it.

You answered your question yourself.
With an app like that, content creators from Nepal will be reaching out to nepali viewers. But that’s just it. It won’t reach outside the country as much as how tiktok did.
That being said, waiting for the mods to remove the post and say post your concerns on technepal.
Id say operation cost and competition in the market. I myself am looking to get into the whole software field so creating something that works similarly (in terms of video playback and how the thing works) is mostly easy but the algorithm might be difficult to produce for appropriate usage.
