5. Sharabha, a new upcoming death metal act, very promising, saw them at Killmandu Deathfest, they were the opening band but still they stole the show.

   Vhusiyaa, again a new upcoming grindcore band.

   These two bands that I mentioned above don’t have albums released yet, but you can check out their videos from recent live shows on YouTube.

   Krur, death metal act based in Kathmandu with an album released, is pretty intense, gone through several lineup changes but are going strong.

   Corpse Sick, brutal death metal band that recently made a comeback after few years of hiatus.

   Bloody Rage, Death Metal

   Maranatha, Grindcore

   Disorder, Grindcore

   All above bands are still active and playing hard.

   Now, here’s a list of death metal bands, that have completely stopped playing but left a legacy behind:

   -Narsamhaar

   -Aakrosh

   -Calamatian

   -Undefined Human

   -Broken Hymen

   (I’ll edit and add later, as I remember more)

   If you like hardcore, Strangle, is a band you don’t want to miss, the most technically sound band that I have come across in Nepal.

   Other hardcore bands currently active:

   -Nainsook

   -Neck Deep in Filth

   -Chain Ov Dogs

   Also, if any one thinks that metal scene has almost died, this is the list of international bands that played live in Nepal in 2023:
