Why doesn't Gyanendra Shah publicly say "I wanna be king again. Support me my people"?

What’s stopping him from openly saying this?

  1. because he is concerned about his public image. he has made an image of a king who happily left his throne to stop bloodshed and in doing so saved lives of thousands. imagine he says something like that. there will be fight and blooshed between maoists, uml and congress with rajabadis.

gyanendra is clever. he knows that people behind him are waiting for opportunity to get something out of him if he gets to throne. kehi khana paincha ki vanera aayeka hun, raaja ko maya lagera hoina. gyanendra wouldn’t want to destroy his image of “शालीन” raaja.

  2. Then that would make him sound cocky and arrogant and expose his motive to become a king directly. But by being led into “rajabaadi” indirectly “by” the people themselves is much more convenient for even the bystanders.

  3. The current political parties always become hostile whenever the former king does anything that makes him appear on the news. I can’t imagine what they would do when he says ‘I want to be a king again’. I assume that they will move quickly and efficiently to jail him and then drum up stories about how he was the killer of his brother, how he oppressed his people, etc.

  4. Yo gyane moro maridiye yo sab ko tantai saaf hunthiyo…. Bekkar ko kura ma manchelai uchaleraw rakheko xa.. Auta bloodline ko manchhe aru janta vanda kasari thulo.. Monarchy as a Institute pani taw autai bloodline ko manche le chalaune ho.. Yo taw sara sar murakhta ko kura ho… Ho pahila ko jamana ma manche le yesto kura ma ni biswas garthiye.. Tara pahile ko jamana ma taw manchhe slavery raw sati jasta kura lai ni thik vanthiye k aba tyo sab lai ni farkaunu….

Gyane should be baru khusi, chup chap aafnu business garnu parthiyo.. Tetro janta ko sappati bata kati sampati paayo aafulai taw lucky mannu parne.. Ki rajgaddi chadda pani tyo sab payo.. Natra sansar ma kaiyan udhar xan kaja ko k halat hunxa..

  5. The best case scenario after this for him is a civil war. The worst case scenario is his property gets taken over and he forced into exile or killed. Its too risky for him to do this. The guys who came into power using a civil war will not relinquish it without one.

  6. Because he isn’t some lowly sadakchhap politician who is begging to or will go to any length to get in the power.

    He has said many times मैले चाहेर हुँदैन, जनता ले चाहनु पर्यो।

If he truly had the greed to sit on the throne, he wouldn’t have left the palace that easily.

  7. Crown is a burden which he carries not for himself, but for the praja. If all the people ask him nicely, he might be ready to be king for the 3rd time. However I think he should be PM.

  8. If situation gets worse and country heads towards civil war then I would suggest replace president with king but without power he can’t make any law can’t interfere in government decision making just a symbolic head of state. By doing this government will retain the power and save democracy and citizens will get their king back win win situation for both. And educate citizens about the positive side of proper democracy and if government think majority of the citizens are agree with government conduct a referendum after 10 years about replacing king with president if majority agree then replace king with president again solution without any violence.

  9. Well, that role that should be made compulsory for politicians.

They entice with promises during elections, only to let them fade away like old campaign banners.

    Maybe politicians have inferiority complex.

  10. Because by looking at things from his side, he doesn’t care or want to be anymore. We don’t know what’s going on from the inside. Even when some of the politicians make statements directly attacking him but we don’t see anything in response from his side. Correct me if I’m wrong.

  11. Do you think providing supreme power to a single person is a good idea in the present world? Where we are in the world of looking for equality, lgbtq rights, and many other rights where people want freedom not to be caged, where the world is moving towards globalization. The answer is of course not. Many people are tired of corrupt and selfish politicians and want change. They are frustrated and hoping for a king can solve. They are looking for a good leader who can run the country selflessly with farsighted vision. This is the case in Nepal right now, where people are searching for a new face to lead them.

  12. If he does start rallying with or without durga prasai on the roads . It will be obvious that he wants the throne or the power to run the nation. Even if he’s helping or funding those rallies . He wants a image that ‘he left his throne for the people and came back just because the people demanded it

  13. Have you not watched game of thrones? He can probably only trust few people. Also bhanera hune bhanda bhitra bhitrai kei garera matra hune chance chha. Also usko time ni gaisakyo, his son has a bad history so naati nai baaki ho. So I still think he’ll do it for his grandson unless his grandson does not want to be king.

  14. King Gyanendra Shah may face challenges in openly expressing a desire to reclaim the throne due to recent political dynamics, public sentiments, and the constitutional framework in Nepal. His return could be a sensitive issue, and it’s influenced by historical events, the monarchy’s role, and the prevailing political climate in the country.

  15. Because King’s are very calculative and cautious about what to speak out and what not to, when to act and when not to.

    1. King never expresses his desires until and unless he is one hundred percent sure his desires can turn into reality.
    2. King never says directly what he wants.
    3. King cares about dignity more than anything.
    4. No matter what people around ask him to do, he will only do when he is 100% sure that he doesn’t have to step back.

  16. It will be only one chance so it will take a lot of guts. Imagine if he comes forward, calls upon the people and people reject, that will be the death of any probability of his return. So it is prudent if he comes forward only after very concrete assurances as to the agenda. And there are more than one power that will be playing. So he can’t just come forward on whim.

  17. Because Nepal should Be a Real Free Republic. Not a Parliament full of Corruption or a Kind of Minions. The People should Stand as 1 united for Their Freedom to Prosper Harmonious umong each other.

  18. He knows he cannot do it unless he gains big support and power is handed to him. He cannot do it in such a childish way publicly as it can damage any ray of hope that he wants the power again.
