5. The allegations against Durga Prasai for not paying the loan are baseless, repeated by only those who have no knowledge of banking and finance.

   Loan is issued against 60%-70% of the collateral amount. Prasai can easily payback the loan with the collateral and still have a significant amount of cash in his hand.

   If he hadn’t paid anything then the bank would have blacklisted him and gone for acquisition of his collateral. Yet he is doing banking transactions all fine.

   So anyone bringing up Prasai and his bank loans is just exposing his financial ignorance.

   And, anyone who reads news is aware how common “sahakari le paisa thagera bhagyo” news is. Did people here forget meter byaj ra sahakari le thageko manche haru ko andolan months back?

   Yet the government does nothing to regulate these small finance institution which has forced people to become homeless, commit suicide, robbing them off of their lives earning.

   It’s still a valid reason for supporting Prasai than masu bhat raksi khayera vote halne.
