Has anyone transfered money from US to Nepal through wire transfer? How long does it take usually to complete the transaction?
The thing is I sent few amount from a bank in US to Nepal the last Friday (5 days ago) it shows the transaction is settled in this side but the amount is still not received in Nepal ( nabil bank). How common is it?
Does anyone has idea about it?

If it’s settled from their side then it’s your bank that is processing the money. My transfers have taken at worst 13 days and at latest a single day. Totally depends upon the banks involved. You can try calling the bank if you’re concerned.
My experience doesn’t take more than 2 days. Had similar happen to me. US bank side transaction settled but not showed up in Nepal side. Waited 2 weeks kept in touch with bank and they kept saying not received. Turns out it went to their verification department and the front line didn’t have a clue. Had to show source of income and they released it finally.
It’ll come through in a few days . Wire normally takes between 2-5 days but in my case, I have also waited 20 days in one of my transfers. If it crosses 10 working days, then you should probably contact your bank.
In my case my father do wire transfer to me he is in Australia and it comes in like 24 hours in my citizens international bank never faced any problem but sometimes it takes upto 2 days but till now not more than 2 days
I send money to esewa using wire. It takes 15 minutes. I am from Australia.
