Because there are hardly any jobs that pays over 35k+ per month. You spend over 25 lakhs over the course of 10 years for your education and when you enter the job market you can’t even pay one month rent with your salary then you have no other option but to do abroad and they fall victim to the trap set by evil first world countries and spend another 30 lakh + to go there as students! Canada ma gayera bichalli banako chan hajarau students le. Mero sathi ko bhai lai 1 year ko 25 lakhs tuition fee tirera pathako 4 months bhayisakyo kaam pako chaina. Next year ko tuition arko 25 lakh. Tyo 50 lakh kahile uth6? PR pauna kathin bhako chare jhan aajkal. Choose your destination wisely!
When you’re a student you’re not allowed to work in the field of your study. Meaning you’ll have to do other jobs and earn enough for your tuition, rent, foods and other stuffs. First sem ko ta etai bata tirera gaincha but for the rest 7 semester you will have to manage it this way. So if you go after bachelors then you’ll only have to manage it that way for 3 semesters.
And ofcourse 12 samma most people won’t have matured much living alone without family, working to make ends meet. So tyo factor pani aaucha.
Arko bhaneko chai since colleges are very expensive you spend most of your time working to pay it off you wont develop much skills as there can be lesser time for self study. So eta bachelors padhda self learn pani dherei huncha and you can develop your skills. So course sakkesi job or internship land garna ni sajilo hunchha.
These are some factors why people suggest to go abroad after bachelors. Obviously its not the same for everyone but most.
It’s about being well-rounded, aware, and prepared for the harsher life abroad. It’s not easy, fun, and happy as you see on the insta reels.
For people saying +2 sakida most people matured hudaina which is true for most students in Nepal since we are raised in the comfort and protection of our parents. But let me tell you, maturity comes with life experiences and the responsibilities you take for yourself. Always being in a comfortable position, you won’t grow much as an individual.
Now, I am not saying you should absolutely wreck yourself abroad trying to balance your study and survival abroad, but you should ask yourself if you are prepared for some hard days in the early days of your life outside Nepal. And to be honest, there are too many variables to give you ONE single answer.
My $0.02
P.S Went abroad after +2, spent more than a decade and returned back home
I don’t recommend that. I recommend going for Bachelor’s as that is when you will get the most of your college experience. By Master’s time you are already set in your interests and skills and you probably don’t want to explore and learn new things. In undergrad you get to experiment and figure out what exactly you want to do. The only catch is that you should only go if you get a good scholarship. No point in taking loans and going to some shitty college by paying 20 lakh plus a year. If no scholarship then wait until Master’s and try again.
simply 4 years vs 2 years
Because if you are here for Bachelor’s then there might be a Chance that you are mature enough to find your way in foreign. Most of the people are at their own home till +2 so suddenly leaving the country for higher education might be difficult for them to adjust.
Cost thorai hunxa ni bachelor paxi gayo vaney!
Also, +2 sakkida kheri samma ma dherai capable vaisakiyeko hunxa jasto lagdaina malai.
” It’s hard to make progress here compared to abroad ”
yes!!!!
” What are you going to miss if you leave the country earlier? ”
+2 jada mature hudaina koi and dherai jaso afnai ghar ma family sanga baseko hunxan and all of sudden sidhai abroad jada ekdam garo hunxa especially if you are alone.
I see a lot of “+2 pachi mature” bhako hunna so what?. There is no “perfect” time to go, tehi perfect time kurera basera kehi kam chahina. People learn with experiences and the only way to get “matured” is through rough experiences. Bidesh gayera eklai runa parcha bhanne ni reason huncha ta waiyat, baru jati runa cha bachelors mai rune, you will only get stronger. Aba paisa na huda ni crores worth ko loan liyera, family lai sadak mai jharera bidesh janu ta ma pani advise gardina but if the family can pay then its always best to go sooner than later. The only actual valid reason to stay in Nepal should be if your family really needs you here or if you are not able to afford it.
College experience paune bhaneko tehi bachelors mai huda ho dherai and if Computer field ma ho bhane ta sake samma bahira nai janu thik (straight out of bachelors nai high paying jobs pauna possiblity cha). Aru courses ko case ma chahi usually Masters preferred nai huncha so Masters lai matra jada ni thikai ho. Also job bhaneko tehi bhada majne matra nai paucha chahi hoina, I know people who have been able to secure some part time office jobs while enrolled in College.
Realistically Nepal early chod da you won’t miss anything other than your family and some friends and the “feeling” of a more relaxed life in comparison to staying abroad.
Simple cha ta, economy and pci.
Nepal ma jaagir na paune haina, kaam garna na milne haina kamai thorai hune ho ani tyo kamai le family jaso taso palna sakchau, baccha hurkauna sakchau, school/college padhauna sakchau tara quality meet garna chai bahut gahro huncha. Jaga-jamin city ma kinna next to impossible huncha ani ghar banauna ni tehi ho. Sabai ko afnai jaga-jamin / ghar hunna ani tyo yeta ko kamai le possible chhaina unless city ma kamaera kunai remote area ma basna chahanchau bhane chai sambhav cha.
Yo icchya ko kura ni haina, gaas, baas, kapaas ta basic need nai ho. Gaas ra Kapaas kinna sakincha tara Baas kinna chai life bhari rent ma basey sambhav cha, aafai le banauna parey chai bahira ko income le matra possible cha yedi savings garna sakyo bhane.
