Why do I feel so?

Why do I feel so?

Asking money from parents to spend on myself feels so illegal. Like skincare, makeup, even clothes in general. It feels like I’m being a burden when I do so which is not the case in reality. But I can’t make myself understand that. It’s frustrating to not get yourself sometimes.

Edit: For people telling me to get a job, I will eventually; pahila padhai ta sakkiyos. This was not the point I was trying to make anyway.

  1. It’s just that you have a part of your self which wants to take care of your own needs and not try to burden them , we all have a variety of parts within ourselves , this might be more dominating , I used to feel the same and still do try not to bother them with small things or my needs but look out for that as well while doing so I unconsciously stopped to prioritize my needs and put others above my own needs , it’s hard to get in touch with yourself once you lose it , idk you may understand this or not but it’s completely normal to feel that way . Nobody wants to be a burden on anyone ig , just my opinion.

  2. You are not alone in feeling this way, I can relate, I used to demand so many things before but now as I have grown up it feels so difficult to ask them for money for anything, even though they would give it to me I feel extremely guilty and immature most of the times while asking money to them.

  3. I used to feel the same as well. I have a simple solution which worked for me i use my parents e-sewa to buy stuff i don’t spend it mindlessly tho.If you use e-sewa there won’t be any pain of payment so you don’t feel guilty.🙏🙏

  4. OMG i think the same way ….like searching for alternatives, looking for non-branded clothes and shoes …..avoiding fancy restaurants………at this point i don’t even care what other think about my cheap way of living …… i am just saying to myself that once i start earning i will stop compromising and enjoy every thing i like

  5. I feel your problem I also suffer from same guilt.
I guess it is because we see friends in our age group going abroad and earning money for themselves and even send money back home.Malai ni ghara paisa magna man lagdaena but padhdai garda k garni ta tesobhaye even small pen ko lagi paniagnaparxa kahile kahi.

  6. That’s just being human. I can’t remember the last time i asked for money.she bought a t-shirt for dashain last year even after me denying for 100times. I bought clothes myself. Just feels sameful now .

  7. That happens when you have self respect and you are considerate. Nothing wrong with that. It also teaches you how to spend money even when you are earning. Spend where necessary, and never more.

  8. If your mom also do skin care, you can mixup with her. I used to work so I never had to ask my parents. But my salary was not enough for my skin care and makeup product as they were expensive so I use to pay my fee and all. But about shopping and skin care, my mom loves to pamper herself so whenever she wanted to go shopping I used to went with her, as I am good at bargaining and she used to buy for me as well, and about skin care, we both had same face wash, moisture, and all except foundation, which was great befit for me. More than me, my mom was classy sassy women so it helped me. If your mom also do makeup and care about her skin try to mix with her, that way you won’t feel bad.

And the way you are feeling is valid so don’t let others down you. Just be urself, talk to mom about ur needs, she might understand. At last we all are women most of our needs are same ✌️

  9. How old are you? If youre atleast 18 you have no right to complain about not having money, and no don’t give the i am studying rn crap. Bachelors paddhai nai kaam garne ho majority of the people. I am 19, I do remote freelance graphics designer and I earn more than most adults in Nepal. Search search search, learn some skills, make connections and networks. If you are older than me and you’re not earning some amount of money, then you have no right to complain
