Mix of inferiority complex, idea of more money and guest culture
There is a good number of genuinely nice and hospitable Nepalese. But for the ones treating Westerners and Nepalese differently,
White skin > brown skin, $$ > NRS, Foreign guest > Nepalese local (So basically a mixture of racism, inferiority complex, greed)
It’s like the honeymoon phase. See the tourists that have been staying here for a while and the tourists that come to visit. Big difference in treatment.
Beggars can’t be choosers
Because we dont earn in dollars or make 8$ per hour minimum or visit nepal only for 2 weeks for a trek
Not really tho. Nepalis are some of the most congenial people out there. You ever visited our southern neighbors? We are much more polite and hospitable to each other
