If by biggest and successful for innovation (not only tied to money), it has to be Sanduk Ruit as his eye surgical method (which was apparently laughed at by all folks of Nepal EYE national org) has saved thousands of poor folks around the world. Then he founded Tilganga which manufactures low-cost intraocular lenses that has made cataract surgeries affordable everywhere in the world. A true innovator whose impact is global.
Another astonishing feat is that he also persuaded the heads of Pashupati to allow corneal donation from dead people waiting to be cremated. Imagine how many hurdles he had to pass to convince the ultra-religious folks.
Every Nepali should read his biography.

For context:
Intraocular lens was invented by Harold Ridley in 1949 which was a crucial invention to treat cataract. Working in Australia in 1986, Dr. Sanduk Ruit and Fred Hollows developed a strategy for using inexpensive intraocular lenses to bring small-incision cataract surgery to the developing world. Basically, they made it way cheaper to afford like 100 times cheaper.
Mahabir Pun comes close to second
Nothing more, nothing less chow-chow(wai-wai/noodle) by CG(Binod Chaudhary) and other subsidiary too, which made him billionaire with a massive 1.8 billions of net worth.
Though wai-wai right was originally owned by south-asian country(thailand), later bought by Binod, but it revolutionize nepal snacks time.
