I mean I don’t think there are many sci fi movies in Nepal but still, in your opinion, what Nepali movie has the most interesting or unique concept.

Kagbeni
Last night, I watched Gamand Shere. It was okayish nothing unique. Let’s be honest most nepali movies are trash except few like kabadi kabadi kabadi(me and my ex went to first day first show in eyeplex mall and enjoyed alot.)
I want someone to create a romance film based on 2015 earthquake like Titanic. If it’s good enough, it can go even international. I had this idea since I watched the Titanic haha.
Loot. Possibly Nepal’s first heist movie. It’s not perfect but it was new in terms of story, casting, character arc, cinematography and dialog writing. Did great business from word of mouth. I will always keep it in high regards because it introduced the mainstream Nepali movie goers to new style of cinema.
Kalo Pothi. Refreshing story from a region which have rare presence in movie except for song locations. Elements of magical realism in few sections which were beautifully done. Acting is so well done, specially consider that the kids had no prior experience.
Saghuro. Exploration of sexual psychology in urban settings. Non-mainstream concept, great acting.
Contagious Apparitions of Dambarey Dendrite. Short movie. Story of rag pickers high on dendrite and their chase of quick money. Loved the magical realism/hallucination scenes. BGM is awesome.
Dadyaa. Story from Karnali region. Short movie. 2 old actors from the region itself with no prior acting experience. Great execution of atmosphere setting and music. Lovely cinematography as well.
Thanks a lot guys, don’t know much of those movies (but will surely watch suggestions here) but kagbeni was first unique movie for me
Bijuli Machine
First Sci-Fi movie of Nepal.
It is interesting and Nepal ko lagi unique concept ho. Herda chai testo maja na aaula hamlai ali different type ko movies herni baani parisakyo.
I think mask of desire is quite innovation. How they explore grief, trauma and envy.
Highway
I don’t think execution was great overall but as a concept and if we compare it with other Nepali movies it still holds up.

Nepali movies are generally formula laden or too high on concept like someone was tripping on weed while they wrote it.
I’ve not seen anything in the middle ground.

Birkhelai chinchas.
15 gatey. It’s a MaHa (Madan Krishna and Hari Bansa) movie which is so setup so uniquely in Nepali setting, with original Nepali humors.
Plus you get to see old Kathmandu.
