Personal hobby ho vane daVinci Resolve. If you are thinking about your career out of video editing, Premier Pro along with AE. But they say that color grading is better with daVinci Resolve, so learn it too. You get fluent in one, I guess the other one is somewhat similar.
Editing isn’t about tools, it’s about you and your desire to create. It won’t matter what tool you use. If you know what you want, you can achieve anything on both platforms.
If you just want to learn for yourself, it won’t matter at all. Pp is easy and there are lots of Tutorials and resources available. But if you want to make a living out of it then, learn both. Editing in PP and color correction on Resolve. I personally use PP and there are lots of resources for free.

For me personally i never got the hang of PP and after effects even though i tried too hard. But Davinci Resolve was fairly easy to use and was easy for me to learn and now they have fusion page, Fairlight and color page in one software you don’t need different softwares like after effects or audition.
I’m also slowly yet steadily leaning davinci after you get the gist of nodes, your journey will be easy. All the best.
I’m also learning video editing now make some cash to manage my expenses as college student. I suggest you go with Premier Pro because it has got many tutorial out there compare to Davinci. So, your learning curve will be easier in premier.
Well that’s just my opinion tho. BTW I’m using Premier pro with Daniel Scott Skillshare course to learn.
