how happy are you guys with the present government ? its working, plans and policies?
lets not think in an utopian way, but in comparison to recent governments of KP Oli and Sher Bdr Dewa.
We used to see a lot of hate for Oli and Deuba in this subreddit , people were vocal about how they hated the PM, their working and lack of plans and development.
But I haven’t seen those types of posts for Prachanda. Are people really satisfied with how he’s working compared to the former two? Or people have given up their hope of anything good happening in Nepal?
Today I read some government official said they dont have enough budget to give the prize to cricket players , the prize they announced months ago. While most of the capital budget goes untouched every year, government can’t give some lakhs to the cricketers? Why announce in the first place?
The current government , from what I’ve seen is busy doing literally nothing. No plan,No policies, shitty economy!

No matter how much nationalistic views one may have,
It is far better for current generation of youths to leave Nepal in comparison to staying and toiling in Nepal.

Just in comparison to previous governments, I would say this government is doing good. I think Narayan Kaji is actually a good minister. When he was foreign minister, he brought new changes to the ministry and started a code of conduct where Nepali politicians cannot visit any foreign diplomats without the presence of a foreign ministry representative who will take notes. This hasn’t been implemented well but it was a good initiation.
Now as Home Minister he has been trying to put high-profile people in jail. He already arrested Khand and Bhatbhateni ko sau and high profile bureaucrats too. But Deuba and his wife are not letting him do his work properly. They are constantly threatening Prachanda that they will pull Congress out of government and it will collapse. They forced Narayan Kaji to transfer the cops who were investigating Arzu’s role in refugee kanda and Narayan Kaji even protested and refused but ultimately had to agree. Just yesterday there was a news that he is considering resigning because Deuba and Congress are not letting him work and are constantly interfering.
I think Prachanda wants to show that he can do something good and leave a legacy. Last two times he became prime minister he wasn’t able to do anything so this time he is really trying hard. I appreciate the good works that they have tried.
