If you make something you are passionate about then you will do well. If you source ideas from the internet and just pick something that sounds interesting you might find later that you aren’t really interested in the topic at all. I would suggest you find something you personally are invested in.
Maybe you can make a documentary on Nepal having better sea access. The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea now gives a landlocked country a right of access to and from the sea without taxation of traffic through transit states. Not sure if India would ever give us this type of sea access but the impact would be huge.
A documentary on future impacts and projection of Nepal’s brain drain situation could be interesting, contextual and informative.
