What are the significant things(good or bad) that the kings/monarch regimes did?
How was the socioeconomic condition, corruption, and life standard of general people during that period?
Was it better or worse compared to after 2008?
Any articles, videos, etc. regarding this info will be helpful.
Thank you!

The most effective king was Mahendra. After him, both Birendra and Gyanendra were ineffective and sucked. Mahendra did some bad things like trying to suppress the country’s diversity and trying to make everyone same under ek bhasa, ek bhesh, ek bhusa but he also built lot of infrastructure and kept a good foreign policy. However, socioeconomic condition and life standard of general people was completely shit. Corruption was also high but probably not as high as it is right now. Living standard of people has improved a lot since the end of monarchy.
parliamentary democracy post 2047 with monarchy was no different from what we have right now. But in 2053 the maoist started a war. Primary differences are just that the head of state is the president, we are secular and we just changed the map of the development regions a little and started calling them Pradesh.
The people are misguided. Our enemies are prachanda and all of those old heads. But that Durga manipulated everyone against democracy because he’ll be in the best place and god knows what will happen to the whole country. Monarchy shouldnt come back at all. We just need to get rid of those old fckers and stop being bhedas and jholeys.
