I am a 19 years old and I have just completed +2 and unlike my friends I don’t want to leave Nepal but I also don’t know what to do in Nepal. Almost everyone around are planning to leave Nepal and they are recommending me to do so but I don’t wanna leave.
I am from a lower middle class family and I my family cannot take risk with money.
I want to do engineering and my father is saying I only pay for one thing Either do engineering or going foreign. I will not pay if you want to leave the country after Bachelors.

My reasons for moving abroad were:
1. MBBS scholarship mah naam niskena ani I was from a middle-class family so I couldn’t afford my Dad paying for everything even though he was willing to.
2. Dad had been abroad as well for more than 10 years, he had been away from his family for too long so I didn’t want him to still look after us for the next 5-6 years. Also my brother is 8 years younger than me.
3. I didn’t wanna study anything that was not related to human body and my other option Bachelor in Nursing meant that my Dad looking after us for another 5-6years or until I got married.
So I decided to go abroad rather than wasting my year. It was wayy difficult than I thought it would be, I can’t see my family everyday and abroad is more of a home to me now than my own country. On the positive side, made my Dad retire after 2 years of being here, I’m quite settled and doing quite well financially, enjoying my 20s whereas most of my friends who studied their Bachelors in Nepal are now moving here, starting their struggles.
So sabai kura ramrari consider garnu, pros and cons.
Life abroad is difficult as fuck. But I like to believe, struggle and challenges paxi balla ramro story banxa.
Go abroad!!!
If you chose to stay in Nepal and do engineering then its a good decision but don’t expect earning money nor run after money!! Just focus on career and studies. And don’t put yourself in a financial position to support your family any time sooner than 4-5 years. Live simple life and pursue for knowledge and experience. You might find your friends living cool life but if you focus on studies and building connections you’ll be doing good in future.
But again if you think you are average student and don’t want to put extra effort in studies than go abroad do something to earn and learn.
Apply for ausbildung in Germany. Your safest bet yet worthwhile one.
As a frustrated engineering student of IOE my advice to you is to go abroad instead of wasting money and time in engineering here. Engineering here is not worth your money and time.

Well if you’re very interested in engineering rn then study engineering for 4 years. Get a good GRE score. Get 2-3 research papers. Then after that you’ll get good scholarships in the US along with RA/TA. Might not be as simple as I’ve said it but is definitely worth taking risk for. Won’t have to pay more than 2 lakhs then. Take the risk if you’re fond of engineering rn.
Yes please
There’s nothing here. Go and work on your dreams.
If you wanna come back eventually, go abroad. Choose a stream that’ll pay you well for a few years after studies and then return with some serious capital to start here.
If you are lower middle class. Better go bro.
