Singer Robin Tamang passed away last night. He passed away at his house in Budhanilkanth Municipality-5 Bishnumati Chisyani in Kathmandu.
According to Dipendra Chand, police inspector of Budhanilkanth police division, since he did not receive repeated phone calls, police reached his residence and found him lying on the floor of his bedroom in the second story of his house.
Police and relatives broke the door of the room and went inside. Police did not find any suspicious things inside the room. The cause of his death will be confirmed only through the post-mortem, according to the police. He has been taken to the Teaching Hospital in Maharajganj for post-mortem.
Robin Tamang was a well-known figure in the Nepali rock music industry. He became popular with his band Robin & Looza in the late 90s and later created a new band called Robin and the New Revolution. Besides singing many popular songs, he also acted in films. He was last seen in the movie ‘Chadke?’.
