Nepalis living abroad, how has your life changed after leaving the country?

You can share how your life changed after you went abroad, whether for studying or working or both. I’ve heard both good and bad experiences from people who are abroad. Share anything from mental health to personality change or anything specific you remember.

  1. I was happy in Nepal in a sense, i had my support system around me. However, i never could dream bigger.

Here, i am not as happy as i would like to be. However, i can now be my family’s support system while dreaming big. The latter part somehow makes me feel okay.

Last thing, if i had fuck ton of money, i would never leave my family!

  2. The only change that wouldn’t have been possible in Nepal for me would be dating a guy thats not from Nepal. Apart from that i guess same nai ho. May be earning more than what i could in Nepal and more opportunities.

  3. >how has your life changed after leaving the country?

Every aspect of my life has gotten better.

Best part, People here mind their own business, no judgements.

Food’s better, pay’s better, infrastructure better. Everything.
