2. lol, why would they give a shit about this useless stance . With all the problems in the country, this is what the government cares about ? It’s just a way of distracting people from real problems. The whole idea is stupid. British can claim half the world as theirs using this logic.

3. At that time Prachanda and Oli had an agreement that first half of the term Oli will be the PM and second half term Prachanda gets his turn. But Oli backtracked and refused to leave the seat for Prachanda.

   Maoist were about to withdraw their support from the government and form an alliance with Congress causing Oli government to fall apart. And to save himself, Oli pulled this chucche nakda stunt. He became untouchable. He got absolute support from nepali citizens, and anyone who dared to question or criticize or examine the whole thing started getting labeled as anti national. Some parliamentarians who questioned the legitimacy of the claim had their house attacked by mobs

   Later on, Oli backtracked from this too. Started giving interview on India media claiming it’s not a big issue, told not to include the updated map in school curriculum. Nepal government never sent an official notice to any neighbors, or relevant parties.

   The whole chucche naksa fiasco was pulled to save Oli’s PM seat at the time. Above all, the logic behind the claim is stupid anyway. That’s why nobody cares about it neither India, nor china or USA or any international committee.

   And now we are stuck with it. Tato dudh thuknu na nilnu.
