So recently I met a few people who were fighting a few legal cases and a few people that wanted to open a company through a lawyer. Market rate for opening a company via lawyer was very astonishing! Some lawyers were asking for 40k, or 80k. Accountant ka gayo bhane they ask for 5 to 8k. Plus accountant Bata you get pan/vat bill of their service. Lawyers le legal bill ni dinna.
Similarly, when lawyers litigate, per visit ko they charge 25 to 30k upwards. If it’s a famous lawyer they charge 1 to 3 lakhs. Proper vat/pan bill ni aunna.
So my question and concern is that lawyers and law makers are the ones making rules and regulation, is it fair for them to not follow the rules? If this is the case, do you, as a nepali citizen, think nepal is safe country for you, legally?
My point of view: I think core problem nai yehi ho. If we take all these fata lawyers and judges out, nepal jhan khatra huncha..

if you have more lawyers, competition increases and the faltu lawyers get out competed while prices decrease.
It’s also about legal literacy and wisdom of client. K kam ko lagi kati fee ho vanera sodhnu parcha.
Lawyers le matra hoina, nepal ma sable lutchhan. Loottantra vanera tesai vaneko hoina ni.
Free market rules I guess. Someone is willing to pay that price that’s why they charge that much. Regulated chaina stayed industry ajjai.
How does one hire an accountant in Nepal? And, how to select one?

Simply because they know every nooks and corners of the law and are clever enough to find loopholes.
I have seen lawyers take a walk around their own community and check how every house is built illegally in any way. Then they will just file a case against those home owners and get money as compensation.
Let’s look at it in a different perspective. Accountant lai sabai rule haru tha hudaina. They go and work under a lawyer for a few years ani jaba idea huncha they start their own company to provide these services. Hamro nepal ma j garda ni problem hunna kai problem aayo bhane pachi mili halcha tara a lawyer has studied law for 5 years ani after working for years he is charging you that money. You are paying for his expertise.
Tara bhaira rules are very strong kai chisikkaa bhayo bhane thulooo fine lagcha you can even go bankrupt so people will always go with lawyers. Nepal ma ta k charge hanchan ra Lawyer le you should hear the prices in USA. Khaas gari ta yo accountant haru le company nai kholna na paune ni huna sakcha tara Nepal ma chalcha.
RA ma ni tai ho. Company ko finances, closing saab RA le dukhaa garera garcha tara euta Charter Accountant le aayera sign na gare samma tyo valid nai hudaina. CA le tyo jabo euta sign gareko darooo paisa lincha kina? wusle padheko cha 5yrs 6yrs mehnat garera he has a certificate that shows he knows the shit he is doing. Sabai field ma yai ho.
Not sure where you got the idea that lawyers make rules, they don’t.
About legal fees, what’s true is lawyers are not professionals in Nepal. If they are, they would probably charge more fees. Majority of the lawyers that are in Nepal are generalist, they would do malpot works to contracts which is so funny.
Try looking for professional lawyers, they would give you break down of fees, and also VAT bills.
Ramro legal consultation napayera dukha payeko naam chalekei company haru dherei chhan. Suru ma sasto bhanera auditor/accountants/ ani ali unprofessional lawyer ko ma jane chalan ekdam bhayankar chha, ani yesle pachhi service seeker lai pani garo ani overall ma lawyer haru ko pani badnam.
