My dad said something mean to me.

My dad said something mean to me.

When he was driving me to school, he said that i should focus on my studies cause i don’t have any other skills so atleast i should improve my studies. I’ve been thinking about it and how he meant to say that im useless. I don’t think my studies is that bad afterall. Compared to my before results where i used to fail in 3 subjects, i think i did better in the result a few weeks ago. There was only one C+ and others were all A and B. I think thats a improvement but idk why he fails to see that. I cant stop thinking about what he said and how true it was that i don’t know how to do anything else and im basically useless. I wanna go abroad but idk if i can survive on my own there with no skills or anything. But i also don’t wanna stay here and disappoint him more.

  1. Sounds like a man to man talk. He’s just stating you the facts and wants you to prepare for the days to come when he will no longer be able to look after you.

It may sound harsh but there is no easier way to say it.

  2. You are thinking much bro/sis. He said what he said coz he care about you and wants you to have good life so is asking you to focus on studies. Is it bad or mean to be worried about your child and ask them to focus on studies?

  3. He doesn’t want you to be disappointed later in life. It’s a literal race out here my guy. Average just doesn’t cut it these days.

If you ask me, he’s a good dad. My father never even had time to assess my qualities. Be grateful for having a parent who actively notices your progress.

  4. bro, just focus more on your study than being hurt, your dad just wants you to improve. Stop being a snowflake bro. Truth can be harsh sometime but you need to learn to accept it

  5. Hello dear human,
You maybe have an immense interest in something. There must be something that you haven’t discovered. Find that out, get into it whether here (you can go abroad later) or abroad and then become a star.
As for parents, let’s forgive them for fucking us up. We shall concentrate on ourselves here onward.
    All the best 🥰

  6. My father yells i am a disappointment, curse, kukur, useless, pathetic, impractical, worthless, gu, jiudo las every 4-5 times a week to me haha. I also think i am being a boulder for him. I was never good at studies and i lack social skills too. I am planning to go abroad this year and I hope in the future I will change and my father will change too.

  7. Parents are not infallible, they’re just people who had kids and people(even our parents) sometimes talk shit. What he said sounds insensitive.

Good grades aren’t the only things that matter, what matters is actually caring about things whether it is studies or something else. Do as well in school as you can/want to do, but theres more to living a good and happy life.

  8. You’re overthinking bro..it’s not mean, he might just be stating some truth and it’s hard to accept, we’ve all been through this. At the end of the day he’s just saying this for your own benefit, he’s trying to make you a better person. Don’t take it too seriously, focus on studies…

  9. Bro if that was the case my father used to say i would become coolie if i didnt study hard…. stop taking everything they say and overthink… work hard respect them… he said the truth thats not mean…

  10. “IDK If I can survive on my own there” proves your dad is right. But that does not mean ki you’re wrong. I think you don’t know your talent or you are too much scared to do what you want. Jindagi le ekai choti kosailai sikaudaina. Bistari bistari sab lai sikaucha tara sikna khojne le matra sikcha. Mero halat ni timro jastai ho. Mero jhan behal cha. Malai ni testo dialogues dherai aaucha tara I’ll prove you guys wrong vanera ananda le hidchu😂 So chill bro. Live a little. Yeti darayau vane jiuchau chai kasari… ani agadi badhchau kasari. Just trust the process. 11. I mean he isn’t wrong either. It may seem harsh but I doubt if their is any easy way. If you don’t have any skills besides academics, your only bet is academics. And if you’re like me, who doesn’t have any skills and has ruined his academics, trust me its going to be very very difficult, speaking form experience.

  12. What i think is, He was maybe just trying to see how you take the things like in a positive way or in the negative. He said that you don’t have the skills, may be he wanted you to find out your skills. Don’t over think. Just try to do different things and which things make you happy, do that and One day he is gonna see you as a Wise man not a dumb boy and you’re gonna love yourself but now just try to learn as many things as you can.

  13. Nepali ama baa tyestai ho… When I was in school, based on what our teachers and some parents said, you’d think 50% of the class will be useless. Now after 20 years, everyone has found their own thing and are living a decent life. Maybe it was the push from parents or teachers, but friends continued to study as best as they could and it paid off at the end! Don’t take it too hard, you’ll be fine. Just do the best you can and don’t stress.

As for me, I failed in classes, was not a kid who teachers expected to do particularly well in studies, but I tried and got through my PhD. It was probably harder for me than my colleagues because I’m not as smart, but I recognized that and just pushed through and persevered because I wanted to. Relax and keep consistently chipping through, you’ll do great.

  14. Could have been mean, could have been good advice. Hard to say without more context or knowing the man. Is he normally a good dad?

What skills do you have? Maybe time to pick up some hobbies.

  15. A B and one C+ is already above average bro in my level. Tension naleu, padha and enjoy life is what I’ll say. Bau haru testo nai hun, but what they say is not false as well. Naya naya skills banauna tira laga and keep your grade consistent.

  16. Study has the ultimate power. Think xa business garna xa ? Business nai padha
Restro kholna xa ? Thik xa fooding and HM line padha.

Just as ghar ka ta vagni vanera abroad kina vanxau afno city xodera arko dense city jau make sure that you can survive their first.
Abroad janay ma depression ma janay ne utikai vaxan

  17. He is just trying to shape you and your life habits so that you end up in a good place and reflect back you figured it out. Father does this stuff to all their kids. Mine too. You should be glad he is talking to you honestly without any filter which is good for your future
