Kukur Tihar
Hi! My girlfriend and I, both from the Netherlands, are currently in Kathmandu and are very interested in the Tihar celebrations. At the same time, we’re also huge dog lovers. I was hoping some of you might have some tips on how to spend Kukur Tihar in a fun and memorable way. Thanks in advance! 🐕

So there are many animal care organizations in Kathmandu like Sneha’s Care. You can visit one of those and celebrate Kukur Tihar there.
Don’t spay abir or any colour, just worship with flowers and food.
Consult with Nepal Police they will allow you to see.
Go to singhadurbar and putalisadak, there are street dogs present in many numbers . You could celebrate kukur tihar with them.
Street dogs are everywhere in Kathmandu. You see people loving and giving treats in the name of god that day then you see the same person kicking that same dog tomorrow after Kukur Tihar is over. This is one reason I dont celebrate Kukur Tihar. Its just selfish display of love to please god.
I am not counting those five people in Kathmandu who really love dogs.
i heard that Netherlands people are tall. how tall are you?
Make sure you give boiled chicken. NOT the biscuits that Nepalese always give them to.
Since you’re from Western and dog lover, you know how to care, so teach those Nepalese how to take care of the dogs.
Proper food
Microchipped
Health Check a Year
Not to be chained but always with lead if taking a dog for walk
Luka!?
If it’s of any help 🙂
