First of all, it is totally different than it seems once you get in IT. I ain’t discouraging you but this learning process will go on forever. One technology booming today will fade in another few years. Basically it will get replaced. So, if you are desperate of money, better not get into it.
But being from non-IT background and still having interest to learn about it, first ask yourself what you wanna do AI/ML , Software developer, Cybersecurity, Networking, QA etc.
Assuming you wanna get into programming, if you wanna have solid foundation go with C and learn about OOP in C++/Java and you can choose any language of your need.
At least don’t start with Python.
