The domestic gold market in Nepal witnessed a notable decrease today, with the price of gold dropping by Rs 700 per tola. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the current price for fine gold stands at Rs 137,400 per tola, whereas standard gold is being traded at Rs 136,750 per tola.
Comparatively, on Monday, the price of fine gold was reported at Rs 138,100 per tola, while standard gold was priced at Rs 137,450 per tola. This indicates a substantial reduction in gold prices within a day.
In contrast to the fluctuation in gold prices, the price of silver has remained relatively stable, maintaining its position at Rs 1,740 per tola.
It’s crucial to note that in Nepal, a tola is equivalent to approximately 11.66 grams. Investors and consumers in the market may find this price shift significant as they navigate their investment and purchasing decisions within the precious metals market.
