Expensive to travel Nepal

Expensive to travel Nepal

Visually and asthetically Nepal is beautiful af. Tara Nepal ma Tourism is freaking expensive. Nepal aayera ghumna eeuta medium scale ma kamauni foreign tourist lai pani mahango xa. Almost double kharcha lagxa Nepal ghumna Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand haru jana bhanda. Package ma Indonesia Thailand ghumna gayo bhani NRs 60k more than enough hunxa for 3-5 days trip. Mind you that includes flight costs as well. I’m talking from a Tourist’s percepective who is not from Nepal. Nepal bata flights haru ekdamai mahango xa. Nepal ma 60k ta flight ticket ma nai sakkinxa almost. So why would a tourist get motivated to come to Nepal which is expensive so much that he/she has to spend more than two times than going to South East Asian counties?

I feel pity when I think about the situation of our Tourism sector which could have been way better. In my view firstly ta hamro ticket sasto huna parxa. Pahila ta tourist Nepal xirna nai friction bhayo testo mahango rakhepaxi ta. Ani yo Tourist ra Nepali lai different cost lagauni, this is absurd. Yo pani change hunai parxa. Branding ani infrastructure haru xaina hyan tyyan yo sabai hawa ho. Tourist rural vayera nai herna aauni pani hunxan. Tara aauna ata paryo ni pahila!

What do you think we should do to improve? Let’s talk about the problems and more importantly the solutions!

  1. true went to thailand a year ago food is extremly cheap but tasty sight seeing is easy and cheap as well many people speak nepali to hotel was always great food pools, travelled around a big private hiace + just for 20k(tour package not airfare)paisa jamma gariyo bhane feri thailand malaysia singapore package linxu rather than going for domestic tourism

  2. True. Went to lisbon+madeira for three weeks (ronaldo’s home-island-town). Beautiful place for hiking. Some towns on the west side looks like Nepal because of it’s verticality (at least what Nepal would look like if it had good infrastructure). Spent two weeks there.

Also did Nepal ~ 3 weeks, stayed at parent’s place and hotels when travelling, pokhara, poonhill trek and chitwan.

The cost per person was very similar (including visa and trekking permits for girlfriend). If I estimate, if I couldn’t stay at parent’s place (which included food and board) and had to do hotel/air bnb + food, the trip to Nepal was a bit more expensive. Now if I include airtravel (from northern europe to both), I could do 2 and half madeira trip for the same price.

Nepal has atleast caught up with the international market at least price wise.
