What do you guys think about this Durga Prasain protest ? Will bringing back the king lead our country in a better way ?
Shall we go back to constitutional monarchy or democracy is the only way forward??
Surely we need to change our approach and eliminate these old politicians permanently.
I think Durga Prasain is just a cunning business man who didn’t get his way through political parties and now wants to take revenge on them by doing this protest.
What will be the conclusion of this protest and future of our country?? What do you guys want ??

In my opinion it’s bad to hand back power to a single family/person. Today power is in the hands of people. Problem is people are choosing and sending bad candidates to work their agenda. Change the candidate not the system.
I don’t know if Durga Prasai is a good person or not, I don’t know if we should go back to the monarchy or not, if monarchy will ever make a comeback, but one thing I know is that the country can’t continue under this system. It showed the sign of disfunction from day 1 and the issues seem to keep increasing with each passing day. It’s bound to meet with an accident someday.
We need a hard reset in bureaucracy and politics. We need a change, how? I don’t know.
Nepal needs a powerful leader.
We Nepali lack discipline and can be manipulated easily.
Meritocracy and Technocracy is the next option.
He is a cunning businessman but what he is going through is affecting all the people of country aswell and that is why he is getting support i.e unreasonably high interest rate of bank, we took home loan when it was 8%, in it’s peak it was 15%, his relationship with top politicians turned sour and now, He is coming for blood, the general public have always hated how some people got preferential treatment just because of their relationship with politicians. He may switch sides again if it serves his interest.
Also, getting monarch may not be perfect solution. What we need is to remove these top three parties and select new candidates but also not be blind supporter’s. If someone does wrong, we have to raise voice against it.
The protest was lackluster and inorganic. Even in Tinkune, though there were many people, it wasn’t too crowded, and people scattered quickly. Few goons damaged property for the show, few were forcefully closing shops and nothing more. Maybe core group were shouting about monarchy, everyone else was not interested.
We need change. Sick and tired of this same system. As for Durga Prasain. He is a bit of both. Whatever he is saying about madeys and the political is 100 percent true. As for him being cunning, he has to clear his debt. Simple !!
why TF is Gyanendra silent? does he still want to come back and rule? Kings were just rich for themselves and people were still poor. I don’t know the hype for raaja aau desh bachau. It’s just sheep following another sheep.

cunning businessman with techniques on how to get support of average nepali. he has blended in some good points to some really bad ones.
In the previous election, Durga prasai wanted ticket from his core area(which is ironically Rajendra lingden’s area) Rajendra lingden( Ra pra pa ko head,raja supporter) didn’t back off .

When the power dynamics changes the underdogs get to be in power, same thing is happening as the old lineup of fossils are not leaving the position and these close supporters don’t get to be in power even after years of investment, they look toward toppling them with new system where they are the leaders.
And personally going back to monarchy is a very limited thinking as giving all the power to a person and his offspring to come, it will take just A bad apple in the lineup to do the worst. Person like Prasain are only looking for their personal benifit.

That guy just wants the power on his side. We know if king comes back who’s gonna be their favorite person. People saying democracy needs to be removed need to get their head checked. We need to get rid of those old fckers and support people who can actually run this country not king and those old mfs.
