Confused for course selection

Confused for course selection

Asking for a friend:

Hey, I am a recent +2 pass out and I have interest in both cyber security and Software development field. My brother told me to go with csit and learn cybersecurity side by side. I am confused right now .
Should I go with Csit and learn networking side by side on my own or should i choose a cybersecurity course(in softwarica) and learn development side by side. There is also an option of joining ncit for software engineering. What do you recommend for me which one would be better
PS : Going foreign ain’t possible for me due to personal reasons. Please help I am confused as hell.

  1. Vai bachelor mai ysto specific vaako course nagareko ramro. Computer Science course linuparxa CSIT best hunxa yedi paxi bahira janey ho vaney. CSIT sakdina jasto lagyo vaney BIT garda hunxa ani side by side cybersecurity tira sikdai garda hunxa.

  2. personally, i would not recommend CSIT. If want to do Computer Science then choose CS in KU. Choose any 4 year IT course which does not require too much effort eg: BCA then self learn in the field of your choice. Nepal ko IT Course haru ma valuable bhanekai tyo specific IT course ko certificate ho. padhai ta DSA bahek sab bakwas nai ho TBH.

  3. Apart from what the previous comment by Frquent_Puti_5603, the Software engineering and Cybersecurity itself are different career. One requires you to do development work, whereas cybersecurity requires more tool usage, report writing, and so on. I have my bachelor’s in Software Engineering and did a minor in Cybersecurity. I didn’t enjoy Cybersecurity as much and that wouldn’t have been an enjoyable career for me.

  4. From my understanding Cyber security ko sabaii policies ani testaii course hunxa which you can read jata bata pani tara i dont think siftware development ma testo hoo

  5. Never be too specific. Go for CSIT, other stuff can be learned on the side or join some certification courses. By choosing to be this specific you are excluding yourself from lots of opportunities.
