Can I start sketching at age of 19?

Like i have seen some who had started from childhood. And while growing age they shine with hardwork. So can i start at 19 (from beginner iam worst in draw). If i can, how much it can take to best?

  1. Yep. Don’t let the age bar you from learning. I have been sketching like since forever and I am only so-so at it, honestly anyone can get to my level within a year if they practice. And with an instructor you can get even better than me in months.

  2. I used to draw until 2nd or 4th standard. Noone around me was into drawing back then so i stopped as well. Thought it wasnt cool. I rediscovered my love for drawing when i was in high school. Now i draw every now and then. Its fun, relaxing and a escape. I have started sketching from last year, made around 10 sketches, 4 out of which are failed attempts,2 are terrible 3 are okayish and 1 is really nice. I havent become artist in these 2 3 years but i have learnt a lot and a massive improvement from my early days. I still struggle with shading though.

  3. I was also interested in drawing and creative works since my childhood. I got access to internet when I was at 9th grade from where I used to learn from YouTube tutorials of sourav joshi ,I was doing pretty well but after certain period I completely stopped and didn’t make a single sketch until my 12th boards (last year) . I thought I was missing the time when drawing used to be my hobby So I started over again and I still can’t believe I not only successfully made a portrait but dramatically improved as well even after over 3years of nothing.Since then I’ve made over 10 sketches for which I invest over 10 hours of work

Every sketch with my Pink Floyd playlist takes me to seventh heaven.

Yes definitely anyone can start to sketch irrespective of their age If you are a begineer I can give some tips you can hit me upy. I’ve also been to art class and the people I see there were from School students to college students and some 40s men. Art classes are bloddy expensive and overpriced so I left that place just after a month.
