There were many foreign nationals who had the misfortune of being abducted by Hamas on October 7. Bipin Joshi, a young Nepali student, was one of them. There was a front page article in the WSJ about Bipin. Recently he was identified as being dragged to Al-Shifa hospital by the terrorists who abducted him.
Why isn’t Nepal doing anything about this? Why aren’t people making noise? Nepal cannot afford to lose young, bright people like this. The future and prosperity of our nation depends on us supporting each other.
Imagine the horror of going abroad to a “developed” country for the first time and you get caught in this kind of terrorist attack. What must be happening to Bipin and his family?
We need to push for his release.

Nepal isnt doing anything because Nepal can’t do anything.
People need to understand this is a difficult situation for any one to handle. People need to be careful to what they say or take action. I hope he will be released very soon. I think government has done good and careful job in this case. Nepali students lai time mai nepal farkayo with the help and dialogue with Israel government. Hostage release ho from terrorist organisation, it will take time. Even US jasto powerful country ko citizen pani niskeko chaina, hami ta small powerless country ho jhan. Nepal government has not been careless with the tone against the war that’s going on, or voted in UN for continuing the war which will anger some middle east countries. Ahile Qatar sanga dialogue pani bairaheko cha. It’s not easy and simple as u think it is.
Listen to this man and please separate the Palestinian cause from Hamas and its violent ideology

Would like to ask the ppl who staged a julish against Israel a week or 2 ago.
Well the hostages captured by hamas are mostly ignored by mainstream medias because it doesnt fit their narrative.
Some leftist are bragging in social media that how well those hostages has been treated by hamas.
Everytime you say something about hostages whether its israeli or foreigner their response is how about palestinians. Its sickening!!
Ajai andolan garam na Israel ko against ma katijana nepali maryo Israel le 10 jana Nepali marne Hamas ko barema kasaile kei protest gardainan agenda mildaina ni uniharuko
When you protest against Israel daily use school children to protest against them do you think Israel will give damn f about nepali hostages. We should be greatful to Israel for giving scholarship internship jobs to Nepali and respectfully returning dead nepali citizens to nepal when nepal government has done is always voting against Israel in UN. While Palestine gets all its sympathy from our ‘activists’ and ‘intellectuals’
Last I read, Nepal is trying to get him out, but we don’t even know if he is still alive. Thailand got 23 of its hostages out [ they say Iran told Hamas to let them go].
Update: Israel released a video of the Hamas pig being interrogated who kidnapped Bipin, he may not be alive 🙁
The terrorist claims to have killed him along with the Thai who was brought to the Shifa Hospital.

The government have to deal with terrorists. Its not easy for any country as this matter cant be solved diplomatically. Action must be taken, sure but being careful is needed to not fuel the war.
Now that the fighting in Gaza has resumed, I fear that Bipin Joshi’s family will never see him again. A promising student from an impoverished part of Nepal is probably lost forever to religious extremism.
