I am a straight person myself but have always been curious about the trend of LGBTQ+ relationships in Nepal. How do people belonging to LGBTQ+ communities date especially in a country like Nepal where things of those sort are not yet completely normal, trendy or accepted unlike in the west? For those indulged, do you feel there’s a lot of stigma even within friends and peer groups? For those in same-sex relationships, what’s it like navigating the dating scene in Nepal? Also when it comes to approaching someone you’re interested in, how do LGBTQ+ individuals navigate situations where they may not know the other person’s sexuality or if they’re open to same-sex relationships? Were you ever in a situation where you had to approach someone straight and it failed? Also for those who’ve actually had luck with things of this sort, any heartwarming stories to share?
