I’ve failed as a daughter…

I've failed as a daughter...

I have lost all motivation to participate in my studies. I’ve skipped school so many times already and i just feel overwhelmed at everything. At the end of the day I know its all my fault that this has been happening. I used to be a good student until last year. I dont know what happened i got so lazy and just stopped trying. I feel bad for making my parents dissapointed in me and I try giving up my phone and studying or doing my school work for a while but I end up using my phone again I’ve just lost the interest to study. Is there any way that i can go back to how I used to be and get back on track with my school performance?

  1. Been there done that. Don’t rush. Try. Even studying for 15 min the first day is a big step. Set a goal for a day and RESPECT YOURSELF ENOUGH to complete it. If you want try focus plant app it helped me too. Try rain sounds, cosmic sounds or anything which helps you concentrate. It’s never too late to start. If you ever feel unmotivated think about how your parent’s will react when you get back on track.

  2. U suffer now or u suffer later.

Best u suffer now and have a stable job etc in the future.

Get your shit together and start working hard to get where u need to be, because Ur competitors are working their ass off as we speak.

  3. I have been in similar situation multiple times. Dropped my grades from A’s to fail in 3 subjects within 1 year. I had some mental health issues too. But I didn’t figure it out till much later.

What helped me bounce back back then was just starting to study. Even if it’s for 5 mins or 10 mins at a time just do it. And when you sit down to study for 10 mins, complete it no matter what.

Even if you can read just 5-6 lines in those 10 mins, just staying there matters. I also kept my phone in a different room while studying and it takes time but slowly things add up and you start to get better. It doesn’t happen instantly but taking it one step at a time helps. Don’t try to think about how good you were a year ago and how effortlessly you could study. Just focus on today.

  4. Try with minimum efforts at first then slowly increase the amount of time. Start with studying 1 hour a day then 2 and so on..
Also research on different time management methods of studying and adapt any one that fits u.
Turn off notifications on your phone and donot listen to music while studying.

  5. Don’t stress too much. I flunked on almost a dozen subjects during my undergrad but I was able to turn it around in grad school and now I am doing well for myself. Try to do better one day at a time. It does require discipline but it’s not that hard as it seems right now. Good luck, you will turn it around.

  6. You’re in right track. Acknowledgment is step closer for an improvement. My first year in my undergraduate Business School I had 2.1 GPA they had 20% acceptance rate. It’s not you’re phone or other distractions. Just put you’re mind to what is important and go for it. I graduated with deans list in Finance and law on my final year now pursuing MSBA. As quotes goes “A journey of thousands light years begins with single steps”. don’t loose hope keep moving, keep shining and be brave. “Aim for the moon land among the stares”.

  7. Fuck Reddit fuck social media. Stay away from tiktok , Facebook and Instagram. Focus on your goals, focus on study. Just put this in your head. Being topper of school doesn’t make you bill gates or president of Nepal. You just need to pass the school and speak up for yourself, love yourself and embrace yourself. Love your family and enjoy life. Rest will fall in places for you.

Did you forget to eat? No
Did you forget to poop? No
Did you forget to brush your teeth ? No

Why would you miss school? Just take it easy and enjoy school time. You passing the school is good enough for you. Going school is not only about learning books. You are making friends and get to learn from your friends, extracurricular activities, sports and many more. Sometime you can look absolutely fucking pretty and not care about shit. This is your life. Live it to the fullest.

  8. Yep you’ve failed as a daughter.
Wait a min I skipped most of the classes in my undergrad , so did I failed as a son. ??
Also, most people have attention span problem nowadays… shit most of this generation is failing.
    This is sad😭

  9. Life is more simple than you think. Stop making it complicated. You can use your phone as much as you can. Make sure when you are in your school, you are giving 100% focus. Set aside some time for your HW and Assignments. And after that you can do whatever you want on your free time. Brain is like a harddrive that absorbs stuffs, stores it and forgets about it. Later on when you are preparing for exams, when you go back to same things, your brain will be like Oh! Wait i have seen it, Oh wait i know about and you’ll remember it while giving exams. This is what works for me. I never touched book outside of my school and got decent results. I used to go home and play video games and stuff or go out with friends. I would wake up early morning and do my homeworks rater than doing it on the same evening. But if you are planning to Top your class than this will not work. You have to sell your soul
